Double billing me for same account that I have already paid off and reporting it on my credit report dropping my credit score

This company has showed up on my credit report when I had pulled it and it seems as if it is trying to collect on a debt that I have already paid in full. They purchased a collections account from a credit card company and then asked another collection agency to help collect which I worked with to pay it off in full. I have worked with that company for almost a year making payments and they was saying that thats all they had for me was that one account. I then noticed that on my credit report Hilco Receivables was reporting unpaid collection account on my credit report as of recent. I then called the second collection company to verify if they had any other accounts for me and they said no and had told me that Hilco had then took the account back stating that they have exhausted all rescources to try and get the money which I dont understand because like I said it is paid in full. The second collection company is now sending me a letter stating that this account is paid in full but now I have to try and contact hilco to dispute this charge and send a copy of the letter to all three credit bureas. This company is causing me alot of foot work to prove that this has been paid in full. When I call they are always closed. I also noticed that this comapny has put the amount I paid onto a different account that was opened in 2000 which was less then what I had paid. And that particular account was paid off already also so they was showing activity on this one. Making that account stay on my report for another 7 years. One the credit report I pulled this comapny has the name of the credit card comapny correct but the account number is only two numbers and does not match any of the account numbers I have ever held for a credit card. I am so fustrated that they are reporting fraudulant negative activity on my credit report causing my credit score to go down and also fustrated that they are trying to collect twice on a debt owed.
