Was rude and innacurate

My car, a 2000 Chevy Cavalier, would not start, I thought it was the fuel pump so I had it towed to this location to get an "experts opinion". After I told them what I thought They said they could do a "no Start" diagnostic and would let me know what the problem was and it would cost me 89.99 for them to find the problem so I told them to do it. They called me later and told me they needed to replace the fuel pump and they recommend that they change the fuel pump relay too. This added about 510.00 to the bill. That was something I could not afford.

After about a week my father-in-law came into town and bought a new fuel pump for the car. He jacked the car up and before he dropped the tank he saw a loose wire. He connected the wire and the car started perfectly. The fuel pump in the car worked just fine. I was shocked that the mechanic up at pepboys did not see the wire when he looked at the car. I went back up to pepboys and spoke with the manager on duty and asked him why I paid 89.99 for the wrong information. He said they do not look at the car that the only hook it up to a machine and it tells them whats wrong. I was dumbfounded. He went on to say that It is My word against thiers that the problem was a loose wire.
