This incident occurred on 1/5. My brakes had been squeaking for a few days, so I took my truck in to have them looked at. Being a certified pre-owned that was purchased in August, I suspected that the brakes should be in good condition and probably needed cleaning. I was told that the brakes were shot and needed to replace them for more than $400. I declined service at that time and took my truck to a trusted family mechanic who told me that the brakes look almost brand new and only needed some cleaning done to the brake rotor. It is obvious that the service department at Jim Keras Chevrolet lies and takes advantage of costumers in order to take their money. The service department is concerned only with making money and not with the customer.
