Ripoff Crappy VW BEETLE from day one!

I was going to start college and wanted a good dependable car to drive in. I thought the VW Bettels were so cute. The day I got it I noticed that it downshifted really rough. It could easily be heard and felt in the car. We took it in to the dealership and the guy said it was a computer chip problem in the car, and that others were experiencing it. Unfortnately the only person to fix it would not be in for 3 months.

About a month later my parents drove it to the store and needed it towed home because some fluid had leaked out and it wouldn't start. That was taken care of, and I got used to driving it with the jerky downshift. One day I noticed a pool of liquid under it. Each day there would be more so we took it in again. They told us the rough downshift had worn away seal. They fixed the seal and said the only way to fix the rough downshift was to put in a whole new transmission. They did that and I was glad, thinking I finally fixed everything but guess what. On the way home from getting it fixed I came up on a red light, slowed down, and there was that terrible downshift again.

I will never buy any Volkswagon thing ever again. I'll have to take it AGAIN to see why it's doing that, and I doubt anything will be fixed for very long.
