Transplant Plus Transmission
Ripped me off, dishonest, lazy

I brought my 1964 Comet back into them not even 7 months after they installed the transmission because it wasn't going into 2nd gear. I called a few days later and they said they were backed up and would take a look at it as soon as they could. A week later I called and they said they were going to have to take the transmission out to get a better look and they would let me know what they found. Another week went by and I called and they literally said the SAME exact thing. I responded "you've got to be kidding right? You're telling me that nothing has been done to my car in an entire week?!" After venting a little about not having a car and everything else the guy interrupted me and said "Are you going to let me talk?!" They confirmed and said they were really busy. I called another week later and they said they figured out what part it needed and they were looking for it. I called a week later and they hadn't found it. My boyfriend called a few days to a week later (on a friday) and they said they had found the part and it should be ready on Monday or Tuesday. So, I naturally called on Tuesday and this is what they said, "Oh, we are still looking for the part". I told them they had lied to me and that I was coming in to get my car and I wanted a refund.

I went in with my friend, who has helped me through this whole thing and was there when I paid them and signed the warranty, and we brought in a tow truck to get my car out. Upon arrival I told them I was there to get my car and handed a guy a written and notarized statement explaining why I was upset and asking for a refund. He said he'd give it to his manager (rob). He also said "Oh we found your part, it should be here soon" I laughed and said I just wanted my car back. I called again today and he said he would tell Rob to call me but that he did get the paper. They do not care. They are lazy liars who need to be shut down. Period.
