Ripoff I can't trade my ca

I purchased my car through Seawest 2 yrs ago. I had several problems with the car constantly fixing it and I feel as though I am putting to much into the car and it is not even worht it. My payments are 401.12 a month and I can no longer afford it so I asked to turn my car back in or could they at least lower my payments.

They turned me down they said that they just wanted the money. I was never late on my payments and they were not willing to work with me. However, I tried to trade my car in and the auto salesmen told me to get in contact with the company to find out what the buyout for the car is. I called but the line was diconnected.

I finally got in touch with someone with a different company (they bought the company out) and he was not very helpful at all. I asked if he could tell me a little about my account he was sounded very irritated and cold. He told me that the buyout for the car was 8,100.00 I still owe 8,900.96. How in gods name do I owe that much for a car that I have been paying on for 2 yrs. And secondly who is going to help me get a car with that buyout. I don't want the car I can't handle it right now. I am a single parent who is struggling as it is I can not afford the car and it is messing up the little bit of credit that I do have.

What do I do?
