Seawest Financial Loans OUT OF BUSINESS AS OF 4/01/04 Columbus

Had a car loan originaly through Superior Bank, was sold to FSB Financial, THEN to Seawest. Have been making payments to Seawest with no issues for the last 3 years (never had a reason to call them). I recently payed off my loan, only to find out (after an hour on the phone w / the prior loan holders) that a company called CPS has bought up all the Seawest Financial Loans. NO ONE SEEMED TO KNOW (or want to tell me) ANYTHING. BE PERSISTANT!!! The number given 1-888-211-8075 is for the company CPS. I was told to call back in a week and hopefuly they will be able to locate and send me my title.

I advise anyone who had or has a Seawest Loan to call the 888 number before makeing any more payments.
IF by some means they can not find your title and you have payed off your loan, i was told to go to the DMV and request a CLEAR TITLE.

I suppose you would have to show them the most recent bill and the cashed check used in the final payment.

Good luck to anyone having the same problems I am. The system in this case SUCKS and is perposely set up to confuse and frustrate the customer into submission. Don't let them do it.
