Ripoff gave me a bogus service charge

I received my check late because of a processing error. I received it the day before my "late date" so instead of sending it in, I went to a local branch in mobile alabama. I explained my situation and the gentleman there stated that I would be alright to pay it there so I wouldn't recieve a late charge. He also gave me a receipt.
That Monday I recieved a call from the bank asking for my payment. When I returned the call, the customer service rep said don't worry it posted. Three days later I get a letter saying that I owed a charge because it was late.
When I called back about it, the lady was so rude and told me it was my fault-that I should have planned ahead or paid sooner. I am contacting the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and whomever else I can to get this type of harrassment taken care of.
Once I get things together I will write back to give you the information on how to contact me. My Uncle is a NC state Senator and I will see what he has to say. We can fight this together.
