The alarms do not work and whatever they are "supposed to do" is worth nothing and should not give you any sense of security. I have had my car broken into twice, once the alarm went off and once it didn't. When I called Nissan about the alarm not working they said that it looked like I had changed the alarm system and not reprogrammed it. Secondly they said that the alarm shouldn't work anyway when the window is broken - that's not how it works. It only sounds when the door is opened (WHAT THIEF OPENS THE DOOR!!!). So I told them that the second time the alarm had gone off when only the small back window was broken and they said basically that - oh well, it shouldn't have. The car is a thief magnet. The customer service is crap!!! And obviously the quality of what they are selling you is not worth a penny.
