I got dooped by a local car dealer. I bought a wrecked car that was covered up by a Scamming Car Dealer

I bought a car from these guys. They lied about Several items. More importantly they took advantage of the fact that i do not know alot about cars. They ended up selling me a broken and UNSafe car. They knew about the issues and told me the car was looked over carefully by a local mechanic. I also found out after the sale that they did not own the car that i bought. This was not disclosed to me. The car was actually sold on consignment. The sales person told me they bought the car from another local dealer which was a lie. The bottom line is that the car is unsafe to drive.

It broke down on the way home from picking it up. I had another mechanic take a look at it and he said the car was definitely wrecked and it was covered up. The cost to repair the car is $2100. The cost to repair the car and make it safe enough to drive was only $800. I went back to the dealer. They acknowledged the fact the i got screwed. They said they would mail me $200 to help with the repairs. I have been waiting weeks for the money and it is no where to be found. They should pay for all the repairs but they told me "take the $200 or too bad and that they know there is nothing i can do about it". The check has been in the mail for weeks and I just want the money that was promised to me. I got totally screwed on this care. I have pictures, estimates, receipts to support everything I am saying.
