Why am I being charged credit prices when I am paying cash? This has been going on for years

I have gone to the BP station located at Palmer & Wayne Rd in Westland for the past 11 years. There is always a posted sign saying gas is 2 cents cheaper when you pay cash, yet the price on the pump is the credit card price and that is what they charge you even when you pay cash. What's up with this?
