Overcharging

I purchased a Chevron gift card with cash while at the grocery store so I wouldn't have to go in and give the attendant cash. I did want to leave my kids in the car or drag them inside since my 8 yr old had surgery on his arm a few days early. I started to pump gas and noticed that I was being charged 10 cents more per gallon than what was posted. I went in and asked the attendant that was there why was I charged more for a gift card. He said that was the same as using a credit card. I said it does not even say a different price for credit on the pump or the signs! I have pictures of the sign and pump and no where does it state a 10 cent charge or any price difference for using credit/debit/gift cards! He said this was the policy and was not very friendly (Probably hears this alot since it is not posted how much they charge for gas with credit/debit/gift cards!) If this is your policy, I would like to hear why this is possiable to charge different prices and not have it posted. I have used gift cards before at different Chevrons and wasn't charged a different amount. I will be warning friends and my community of this station and their practice of wrongful overcharging!
