Ted Russell Ford of Knoxville is the epitomy of bad business!!!

I'm stuck in a car that's worth about nothing! I bought a 97 Ford Contour from them in 2000 and something told me after signing to follow my instinct and not buy. I had problems with the car from the first week.

There was ticking under the hood that they claimed was due to the need of an oil change. Untrue, the car had been sitting on the lot and had not moved. It already had an oil change.

After the ticking got louder and louder, I took it back to them. The window was also making a scratching noise. They claimed it would be covered under by bumper to bumper warranty. They agreed to fix the ticking under the hood which costed about $500 and I could have the window repaired under my warranty! Stupid me, I agreed.

Eventually the window stopped working at all and when I went to have it fixed, the warranty wouldn't cover it. I took it back to them and explained this was a problem that was there from the beginning, yet Ted Russell refused to take responsibility it. Fortunately, the salesman agreed to give out of pocket $100 on one of the $250 each repairs. I had to repair both windows for the same problem.

The ticking is back now and I just found out the head gasket may be blown. This car is barely making it now and I'm stuck with negative equity that no one wants to trade. This car is basically worth nothing and for all those considering even buying a contour, don't do it!!!

When I went to trade, I found out that apparently my car was an in house finance that was financed again by an outside company. Talk about rip-off!!!
