Don't buy ford products, worst customer service of all! Dearborn

Took my 2005 Ford Focus into the dealer for loud ticking coming from the engine. Got the car back a month later, still ticking and now running badly. Back to the shop it goes for another 2 weeks, I go to pick it up and the dealer had wrecked my car, claimed it was damaged when I brought it in. Now I have a badly running, ticking, wrecked car.

After threatening the dealer with legal action, they fixed the damage but not the original problem. I brought it to a different dealer and they refused to work on it! They said, and I quote, "if the driver can't hear the ticking with the car running and the windows up, Ford is telling us it's not an issue"... I simply couldn't believe my ears!!! You've got to be kidding me!!!

Ford may produce nice looking cars and trucks that appeal to a wide range customer base, but Lord help you if you have a problem and need to bring it to a dealer. I have never been treated like such a second class citizen in my life. I could not recommend a Ford Motor Company product to anyone at this point. The specific dealerships I delt with are: Joe Sartain Ford in Decatur Alabama (they wrecked my car and had it for a month and a half), and Woody Anderson Ford in Huntsville Alabama (they refused to work on my car).

I did contact the Better Business Bureau Auto Line and Ford Customer Service, don't waste your time going to either place for help. The people you will deal with know nothing about cars and have no power over independently owned dealerships. What a joke! I will NEVER buy another Ford product as long as I'm alive, it's no wonder the "Big Three" are going under.
