2005 escape limeted - computer for engine

Front axsle had to be replaced at 600000miles the the computer in the moter quit at less than 80000 miles and i took it to get fixed and it sat at the shop for 21/2 months because they couldn't find a computer for it. Then i had to drag it home and there it sits in my drive way. I'm am really disapointed in ford because i have been driving fords all my live. This is leaving me thinking of swiching over to chevy for my next car. I did some research and found that this year of escape has had alot of problems and ford has not stepped up and recalled any of them.
