On 10/28 as I was on my way to real estate school I was pulled over and my car was confiscated for taking an older man and maybe his grandchild 5 blocks in the direction that I was going. After realizing that the person I pulled up to wasn't the individual I thought it was I was penalized for giving them a ride. My car was taken away and it doesn't stop there. Mr. Luis Zeyala sat before the judge and swore to tell the truth and did the opposite. He instead fabricated his story to make it seem as though I was operating as a taxi on the following morning. Mr. Luis Zeyala claims he saw the man and child wave me down. Which was not true, my car does not look like a taxi, so he would not have a reason to wave me down unless he knew me. As I was at the light I noticed the male and child who happened to look like someone that attended my church. The man and child were at least 7-10 feet from the curb and when the light changed I pulled up to them and blew my horn to get his attention, after which he came to my vehicle and it was only then when I realized I did not know him. After realizing this I apologized and was about to drive off when the child complained about being cold. I then asked the man where was he going? He then replied church avenue, which was about 5 blocks from where he currently was. I said ok I'll take you. A few seconds later I am being pulled over by 3 inspectors and aggressively handled by Luis Zeyala's and his partner. I was called a liar for lying to Mr. Zeyala which I wasn't. Mr. Zeyala said why did I give him a ride after realizing you didn't know him. I responded because I wanted to. This is something that I have done before and was never penalized or reprimanded. His partner continuously asked where is the money, he gave you, how much money did he give you because he claimed that the man told him I was taking him to Tilden avenue which was not true! My question is why if these people (inspectors) do this job every day, why do they have to resort to lying and scheming if someone is breaking the law. What was the purpose and point in saying and doing all that he was doing if indeed I had broken the law and was illegally operating as a taxi. I was only going as far as church avenue because I was planning on make a right once I got there. Even though my registration was current, he told me that it wasn't. I informed these inspectors that I recently moved back to NY and was on my way to real estate school to class as well as to show one of my class mates the vehicle who was actually going to purchase it. All of my personal property was in the car. My files were in the back seat. Dirty clothes to be washed as well as laundry was in the front seat and clothes that I recently picked up from the cleaners were hanging in the back seat. There was absolutely no way that I could have been running cab service because all of my belongings were everywhere in the vehicle. I took pictures to show the state of the car when it was confiscated. As I stated to the inspectors the trunk also had my personals clothes, shoes, files blankets etc. Which they saw once I opened the trunk to remove some of my property. No matter what I said or regardless of what they saw these two men were bent on taking my vehicle. I was left with three bags in addition to my laptop bag with no where to go as well as no one to take me there. What makes me angry and this situation a shame is that a stranger pulled over and took me to where I needed to go after seeing me struggle with all of those bags. Luis Zeyala and his partner are not in any way professionals. They are outright liars and has formatted his story to work in his favor. If he was truly honest as well as professional he would tell the story exactly the way that it happened instead of lying to the judge to get a decision in his favor. This irresponsible behavior has left me homeless as well as has compromised my health. I've never been homeless or in a situation as such. I recently had my vehicle towed from DC to NY to sell being that I had recently moved back to New York to finish my book as well as start over. I was planning to use the monies from sale of the vehicle to get an apartment, and since I was about to graduate real estate school, things would be consistent as well as run a bit smoother to place me back on my feet.instead these two men with their malicious behavior and lies turned my live upside down. They scheduled my hearing on the same date I was suppose to take my real estate exam, 11/5 which I missed so I failed it. Two weeks of attending class from 9-5 was wasted and when I went to the hearing the judge sat back and listen to the inspectors side of the story only to put the hearing in default for reasons that didn't make any sense. I informed the inspectors that I recently moved back to NY and was not stable or secure with a place to stay. It was quite obvious the way my car looked, but they didn't care. The third inspector wasn't rude or aggressive, to be honest it didn't seem like she really wanted to take my car. I have spoken with various officials at TLC, one of which was Phillip Elliot only to experience more insults an unprofessional behavior. I couldn't believe he insinuating that the paperwork I submitted to show ownership of the vehicle may have been obtained from the internet. Presently I am seeking an investigation amongst other things due to what I have endured thus far.
