General Motors Aveo Timing Belt Failure at 56,125 Miles

Cars & Transport

We have a 2004 Chevy Aveo that suffered a timing belt failure at 56,125 miles. It is apparent that Chevy knew about this problem for a long time. We have been trying to get them to fix the car with little success. We filed a compliant with their customer service and against them in small claims court, but that hasn't help yet.

A Google search for Aveo timing belt failure shows a number of people that have had the same problem. It's been going on since 2004 and affects Aveos, Swifts and Waves in the US and Canada.
