Car-Mart Of Tulsa
Dealer's $100 off per job year special turned out false

Cars & Transport

My fiancee and I went to trade our old car in. We were told they were having a special where you could get $100 off the down payment for every year you have been on the job, for up to ten years. Great! That would have made the down payment on the particular car we wanted a mere $200. Right?

We sat there for 2 hours getting grilled about everything from our living expenses to our entertainment expenses by an extremely rude and cocky salesman. Then when it came down to the calculations, our first six payments were to be over $200 a week! A week! The payments were supposed to be only $75 a week.

He said, "Oh, that's a thousand dollars in 'specials' that you have to pay." It turns out that you don't get anything "off" of your down payment. You have to pay it back in the first six weeks! That's false advertising. They should have explained it to us before we sat there and wasted our time for 2 hours.

They should have said deferred or delayed, not off!

We walked out.
