Gageauto.com, Mike Kelly lied to get me into the dealership only to lie to me again

I came across a good deal online at Gageauto.com. I called and spoke with Mike Kelly who was very friendly and ready to make a deal. I told him that I had a trade in and gave him my VIN#. When he asked what I wanted for trade it, I told him I would be happy with low KBB to which he replied, "No problem!" I didn't try and negotiate on the price of their vehicle. It was priced well and I was happy with the bottom dollar which I confirmed with Mike before I drove 3 hours to their lot.
When we arrived, Mike disclosed that he was on pain meds (which would explain his spastic head and hand movement I guess) and continued to share various details of his life without taking a breath for the duration of our test drive. We were happy with the car, so we went in to do the paperwork.
Nothing that we spoke about over the phone was taken care of. When Mike was jotting down numbers, they were higher. When he turned them into his sales manager, the manager came out and said there was NO way they could do the deal. We requested our keys back (an employee was looking over our car for trade in) and they told us to sit back and relax, they were going to go in the back and try again. My husband was BEYOND irritated at this point (not only did we drive 3 hours one way, but they wouldn't give us our keys back so that we could leave). The manager came out again and told us that there was still no way that they could do the deal.
I'm wondering why invite me on to your lot if you know that it's under false pretenses? Obviously I'm going to have an issue if you promise me one thing and deliver nothing. When I called Mike out on his BS line that he pitched me over the phone, he replied, "I promised $10k or less!" Thanks Mike. I heard what you promised. You weren't even close.
