Ripoff victimized many consumers ripoff business from hell

Walt's Welding and Repair is a local shop that does welding and some car repair work. The man who owns the shop has a wife who works at the same business as me. There are three of us so far who have been ripped off by them.

All I needed done was to get a new muffler ($43.00 new) and have it attached to the exhaust. I expected to owe no more than $150.00 for this, and had told them I could not afford above $200.00. They said that would be fine. What I got instead was an old rusted muffler with a hole in it attached to the exhaust pipe.

The first price I was given was $295.00. Shortly thereafter, she told me that she made a mistake and it should actually be $395.00. Realizing that obviously they were trying to rip me off, I asked for reciepts. What I got was a reciept for brakes and brake parts.

They don't even seem to be brakes that would work for our car. Not to mention the fact that I didn't need brakes, I needed a muffler.

I have paid $150.00, however, since I have proof that they not only tried to rip me off, but at least two other people at work as well, I have stopped payment, and am disputing these ludacris charges.
