Cars & Transport

On the 11th of July 09 I took my 08 Superduty to Jenkins and Wynne (JW) for the scheduled maintenance. Upon the completion of the "Works" oil change I was informed that "Front (brakes) pads will need to be needed in the next 4k to 6k miles" as per the tech Mark S; truck only had 38k on it. I spoke with Larry about this due to the fact they did the last scheduled maintenance 4k ago and everything was fine. He stated I must be a aggressive driver and went into a lecture and said it will cost roughly $400.00.
Upon leaving I went straight to Meineke and got a second opinion. The Meineke tech stated the there is 60 to 70% brake pad remaining and the brakes are fine. On Monday July 13th, I contacted Mr Bateman and explained what happened and asked why. He stated that the tech Mark S. Was working on two identical Superdutys and the other vehicle had the brake issue. I found it hard to believe but mistakes happen.
On the next scheduled maintenance on the 26th of September I had the "Works" oil change completed. Upon completion I went to my truck and the tire rotation was not completed (the tech was also Mark S, co-coincidence?), the reason I know this is because the Body shop at JW painted the rim on a repair two weeks prior (there is another complaint for that). So Eddie tired to argue until I explained to him that I can prove it with the rim. So after being told we owe you a rotation I explained how JW will NEVER work on my truck again due to the integrity issue of this and the brakes.
At one point in time I explained to my wife that while I was away that if anything happened to my truck take it to JW and they will take care of you. I feel really ignorant for putting my wife and children in that situation to be taken advantage of. The only reason I take my truck to Ford is in the event of a failure they can not argue about the maintenance. What do you do when you can not trust your local "President's Award" winner Ford dealer? A formal complaint has be filed with Ford Motor Company.
It will be hard to REBUTTAL this because this information is on the service ticket.
