Honda of Danbury
Don't trust the mechanic - car service

Cars & Transport

I brought my Honda Pilot to the Honda of Danbury service department to have my catalytic convertor checked. My local garage had just done an oil change and a full brake job, by the catalytic convertor was still under warrenty. The mechanic at Honda said that the convertor was fine, but they could feel a vibration in the brakes. They said that although the pads had been replaced the rotors had not been cut. Since I did not have my invoice from the original brake job, I did not know that there were BRAND NEW rotors on the car. I had only driven 1,500 miles between services. Since I was the belief that the rotors were old I allowed the work to be done.

Do not trust these mechanics. They misled me by withholding important information and leading me to agree to have unnecessary, expensive work done.
