Hard core sales call

After first seeing their commercial on TV, I went online to get some further information. I filled out the questionaire form requested in order to get a
"Quote". I only realized that would Not happen, when I received a message saying that a "Representative" would be calling me soon! That was my first
clue that it would be a "Sales Call" not what I was expecting.

Sure enough, within about 10-15 minutes, I received the phone call. The first thing I found EXTREMELY ANNOYING, was that he called me by my first name during the entire call. After he confirmed the car I owned, he wanted to know "how many miles" my car had. I told him that information was included in their questionaire. He said "I don't know" but since they had a "Limit" of 10 years, and 100.000 miles, he needed to know in order to see if they could "Make an exception" - I said if that is the case, why don't they say that on their Commercial, or on their website? He again said, "I don't know" but since my car was over 10 years old, but had very low mileage, he would get "Permission" from his "Manager". At this point he informed me that if they made me an offer today, "I HAD TO ACCEPT" or they would "Delete" my files from their records? Anyway, after finally getting the high cost, ($2,625.00 to $2,904.00) and the limits to when it would be effective? (90 Days, and 1,000.00 miles) before it could be used.

I told him that would Not work for me, and that is when he began the HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS - he WOULD NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER, and I finally ended up having to Hang up on him. This is DEFINITELY a SCAM (I suspected this may be the case) but was willing to investigate. I sense they may be the same conpany, or one simillar to the Phone call spams I had been receiving "Telling me my "Auto warranty" was expiring?) Duh, my car is 12 years old! Stay away from these people!
