We bought a 2002 Ford Explorer from Jay Wyrick, after we took it home we then realized that there was no transmission fluid or oil in the vehicle. The next day we came to find that the windows didn't roll up in the back after we had rolled them down. We took it back up to Abernathy Motors and told Jay Wyrick about the issue. He said we wouldn't have to pay for it and that they would fix it. So I scheduled an appt. To have it fixed. Right after they were fixed, they handed me the keys and said your good to go. Then on my way home Mr. Abernathy called to tell me that I needed to take the vehicle back up there and pay for the windows, which was $305. After about a month of having this piece of crap the engine ceased up on it while my husband was driving to work and almost got into a car accident. We called them again and told them about the engine. They said they would repair it but it would cost us, which we can't afford. We were paying $350 a month for it and yet we couldn't drive it anywhere. We have now decided to let them take it back. Unfortunatly for us, this lemon vehicle has sucked about $3,000 total from us if not more. Do not buy from abernathy motors they will sell you a lemon and take your money! Not to mention, when i spoke with mr. Abernathy himself, he was very rude over the phone and kept saying "Well I need my money." That conversation took place on the way home after they had fixed the windows. He is selfish money grubbing disrespectful and rude. Do not buy from them!
