Cars & Transport

I purchase a Toyota Tercel in "as is condition" a little over a month ago. This vehicle was listed to be in "good running condition", however the vehicle was not in good running condition, and was grossly misrepresented by the seller. As soon as I picked up the vehicle on the first day, I noticed a LOUD clicking noise on the front right side of the vehicle. The vehicle was inspected and found SIGNIFCANT RUST and WEAR AND DAMAGE on the underside of the vehicle, the cost to repair just the two front axles would run about $350. I was willing to accept that cost, however about 2 days later while I was driving the car overheated very rapidly. I promptly pulled over, and turned the vehicle off. The car would not start, so I had it towed at my cost of $150 $75 for the inspection. It was determined that the car no longer had compression in the engine, and the engine was a total loss. The cost to replace the engine was over $1600. I chose not to get the engine replaced, since the car itself was only $1200. Then I promptly contacted the seller (US1 Motors) and told him the issue, he said he could try and get me into another vehicle that would be in decent condition, instead he tries selling me another vehicle! I sunk 2K into a lemon, that probably cost him nothing. Never deal with Blake at US1 Motors. He also sells lemons on Ebay.
