Triple T Sales
Deposit not returned

Cars & Transport

I called the owner of Triple T Sales about a used 2003 Mirage Trailer that was listed on their websight. Pat Von Pichl told me I would have to put a deposit on this trailer to ensure it would not be sold. I told her I would allow her to use my Visa for the 500.00 deposit as it was my understanding this trailer was owned by the dealer I was speaking to. As I live in Canada, about 21 hours away I wanted make sure everything about this company was legitimate. After talking to Pat who assured me she was honest and had been in business for more than 20 years I asked for some more pictures and then inquired about how I was going to pick up this trailer. She then explained to me the trailer was only there on consignment and I would have to pay off some bank in California before title able to be released. She told me this could take up to 10 days. I told her I was not comfortable about sending my money down to her without seeing or being able to take the trailer upon receipt of the funds. She said this was not possible as it was on consignment and the woman who owned it aquired the trailer and the payments upon a divorce. I again told Pat I was not comfortable with the "divorce" situation and asked if there was any other way we could do this that would make me comfortable. She said she called the bank in California and they said it would take 3-4 days to release the title. I told Pat that was not good for me as I still would have sent the funds to her on complete faith and no trailer until I got there. I then asked her to return my deposit as I was not comfortable having to pay out someone else's loan. She said that she would not return the deposit. I exlpained to her the additional cost of 70.00 for the exchange on the 500.00. She then said the gal who owned the trailer could have sent it to a rodeo on the weekend and missed the opportunity to sell. I told her she did not at any time indicate to me there was any other interested parties as I would have told her to go ahead and persue those opportunities. I would not have held up her sale. I was under the impression my deposit was to show her that I was interested in the trailer. I felt I had done all I could to facilitate her wishes and now it seems I have paid 570.00 just to converse with her.
