Rockenbauch chevrolet nightmare rip-off auto dealer

On March 10 I went to Rockenbach Chevrolet in hopes to getting a bigger vehicle. With a down payment of $1500.00; I traded my 98 Ford Escort for a 98 Ford Explorer. The sale seemed smooth and I was told that I'd be getting my finance information within weeks.

Well a month went by ;now laid off from my permanent job and working tenp to perm and a part time permanent job elsewhere. I got a call from my finance company in reference to the car I had traded. The car wasn't paid off and I called Rockenbauch to find that the manager who handled my account had quite. They had no clue to any trade-in, they had to search for the paperwork.

A few days later I get a call from the new manager asking me to bring in additional $1000.00. A few days later another representative in finance said $1500. I argued the additional amount and gave them and additional $1000.00 and a new contract was drawn up and figures were adjusted for a finance company to finance me. Since then I was unable to be financed because I'm working temp to perm and the dealership has been calling me harrassing me to bring the truck back but because they now paid my car off I'm supposed to take a loss.

I now have a lawyer working on this but now 4 months have gone by and I'm sending payments to the dealer but can't drive the truck for fear of reposession. They have left detailed messages with my 13yr old daughter and have caused me to lose the temp to perm job do to harassment threats to come and take the truck from my workplace.

It was also commented that it's not they're fault I can't hold a job. They also refused to contact my attorney instead of harrassing me. The simple trade-in turned into a nightmare... I'm a single mother of two just trying to take care of my two children and earn a decent living.

I've heard nothing but horror stories from other people who have dealt with them in the past. I wish someone had told me before all of this progressed...
