Told me i need a new alternator when all it was a new battery phoenix

I went to Virgina Auto Service, which my neighbor had recommended. I check out there web sight and saw a lot of people in the neighborhood were happy with them. My car would not start so i ask that they come and check out what the promblem was. Well a tow of less then a mile and a half and a surposly diagnostic test they informed me that it was my alternator. I asked what the charge to fix the promblem and was told $1800.00. We'll I didn't have those funds at time but was charged $180.00 for the tow and diagnostic and had to pay that to get my car back. Well not to my surprise I had another mechanic look at my car and Informed me that there was a dead cell in the battery and that was the promblem. I have not had a promblem with the car since replacing the battery. I would never recommend them to anyone. They will find bougus faluts with your car and bascialy rip you off stay away from them they are not as honesty as they claim to be.
