Best Buy Remote Starter, Must get cold and go outside at 20 below to use dishonest ripoffs the business that doesnt give a dam mistreated and ripped off...

I purchased a remote starler caled avitol 3200 on 12-02 for my son for achieving great grades as a xmas present. After initial installation on 12-31-02, my son reported that it wouldnt start ftom 40 feet away while inside his dorm. While visiting home, I tried from 30 feet away from my living room and it did not started. I then returned 3 more times for possible repair and tried it again each time and each time, at forst I thoght it was better, but it wasn't. The gentleman at The Crousel center in Syracuse said if I Wasnt happy, I could return it. On 2-15-03 I returned to the New Hartford location with an appointment to have it taken out and get a refund.

I was promised it would take about a half hour to take it out. I was 10 minutes late due to a snowstorm but was the only one there. I returned at 11:10 am and nothing was even started, even though I specifically said take the junk out so I could make my 11 A.M. Appt to have another remote installed somewhere else. Then the manager came out and said that the starter had been tested and the range was at 250 feet.

I'm sorry but that is not true. I then said take it out and give me a refund to my best buy acct now and she said that will cost you $25.00. Of 250.00 spent they credited my account about $114.00. I have spent over $900.00 since November at Beast Buy, and I'm treaterd like this.

All I wanted to do is to give my son a nice present to make his life a little easier, and all i got was a headache. Im oping that someone will contact me to arrange a refund of the installation charges of 79.00 for a poor performance product. Please restore my faith in Best Buy for this poor experience. I am no even asking for all my wasted time and mileage to being reimbursed, but only for the money due me.
