First, we were told we could purchase 2 cars (my boyfriend and I), the salesman said that Ford Escapes were easier to get financing on, so he talked us into that one, then once the papers were signed. Flat out told us that he lied to get the sale and we could not purchase 2 vehicles and he lied about the financing because they needed to "unload' the Escape. I soon found out why. First all the weather stripping fell off. There was a dent in the side that they said they would knock out... They didn't and the light bulbs on the inside burned out 3 days after I bought it. None of this was major to me until 2 weeks after having the truck, it would not start. I was told it was a starter or a battery and that I would have to pay half of the repairs. After much arguing they said they would pay for the whole bill. I got the truck back and it still started hard, so I had the manager sign a paper stating that they had replaced the battery but it still started hard. Because I knew it would quit after the 30 day warranty was up and they had been nothing but shady and dishonest from the begining. Well, 5 months later, my truck wouldn't start, big surprise. I took it in and guess what? It was the battery. Not only did they lie Again because the battery was old and coroded, but the old dirty battery was the wrong battery for the truck and way to small, but they had it covered with a plastic case so you couldn't tell. Then last week, it started idling really hard and stalling out, 2 hours later a horrible loud noise started in the engine. The truck was completely out of oil (no oil or engine light ever came on) and the oil filter was soaked with oil and the filter was the wrong filter for that truck! My engine is shot! I have a 2006 Ford Escape (that I have only owned for 8 months) sitting outside with a blown
engine and 4 years left to pay on it. Do Not Trust Them!!! Run Away Fast, they are lying scam artists!
