Rountree Moore Toyota Ford
Sold a vehicle with disclosing that they replaced a seal in the transmission

I bought a ford f-150 v8 laret from rountree moore on august 28th a used truck which i needed transportation to drive from lake city to dade city back and forth due to my dads and uncle death to help my mom since she does not drive and did not want to move to the city. When i was approached by a salesman i did not found a vehicle. As i was getting ready to leave a person came out and told me he was general manager which i found out later he was not. That he had a ford truck just came in i looked at it and it was in pretty good shape paid over 11,000.00 dollars for it it was a 2001 truck. I was told that they where goinging to check it out before i got it.

Well i was informed the brakes where bad so they replaced the brakes then when it was on the rack the tires where dry rotted and said they wewnt ahead and replaced them since it would cost more if it was done later so i laid out 500.00 for tires then said it would be ready the next day before the afternoon.

Got a ride to thew dealership which i was informed it was not ready they gave me a loaner which didnt have much gas and to come bacl later that day so i did. Picked up the truck and drove it to my moms which it set till i left on sept 3. Got on I 75 driving south got 40 miles north of dade city and the transmission blew. Waited on the side of I 75 for hours which iam handicapped which rountree knew and was told i wanted a reliable vehicle. Did not want to be stranded out on I 75. Well did not even drive it 150 miles.

Finally got a tow truck to pick me up and take it to Jarrett Ford in Dade City got there 2 minutes before closing which the service advisor took the dip stick out and said it was the transmission. Called Rountree-Moore told them they told Jarrett go ahead and fix it then changed their minds and said they where goinging and come get the truck from dade city and take it back to lake city which they had for a couple of weeks. Said they fixed the truck dilivered it back to dade city then i took two pieces of paper and placed under the front and back drive tran and quess what it leaked transmission fluid. Rountree told Jarett ford from the begining they had replaced a seal on transmission but nerver informed me they did and now i know why they did not. They tried a patch job which blew up in their face just like when they took it back to lake city a patch job which didnt hold.

Jarrett Ford had to fix it which should of from the begining and yes i bought as is but was not informed they had replaced the seal they did not disclose that they hid that from me. Nerver contacted me and said nothing when it came back from lake city and still leaked transmission fluid. I kept asking for my money back and was told i wasnt and there was nothing i could do to get the money back. I could of understood if this has happend if i bought it from a "Buy here Pay here" as far as im concerned Rountree Moore is no better then a Buy here Pay here. They have bad customer service and a bad service dept that can not fix a problem just put a band aid on a problem hoping it will last a few more weeks more.
