Non-payment of extended warranty claim

In late March, my vehicle that is covered by an extended warranty issued by Heritage suffered a fuel pump failure. The vehicle was towed to a local GM dealer for repairs. After diagnosing the problem, the service department contacted Heritage and received authorization to replace the fuel pump and was given a claim number. I paid the bill and Heritage stated they would send a check for the repair amount, less the deductible, within 6 to 8 weeks. As you can read from other reports about this company, my experience has been similar.

After repeated calls to the customer service number, there is nothing but stonewalling and evasiveness. It is now October, and I can only conclude that this company is dishonest and unethical and has no intention of paying its claims. If there is anyone out there who has contacted legal counsel and explored the possibility of a class action against these disreputable people, please count me in. The company I work for is a member of the Colorado Auto Dealers Association, and I would urge everyone who has been harmed by this company to contact a similar organization in your state and inform them of Heritage's practices. It is only in this way that others can be saved from sending more money to these people.
