Cars & Transport

On May 7 i drove to autowarehouse to see if i could trade my car in for something a little more dependable. When i drovem into the lot i got out and was looking at a few different cars. I was then approached by onr of the employees and he asked if he could help me. I told him i was looking for a car that wasnt going to over heat on me and that would last me a few years. At first i was looking at a chrysler van but he told me that i didnt want that one.

We discussed my price range and what i could afford, so he suggested a white 1998 chevy malibu. It was in very good condition so i asked to test drive it. I test drove it and it seemed to run okay. I should of known from that point that something was wrong with it because he didnt want me driving it too far. I called my mom to come look at it a also test drive it. She drove it too. We did all the paper work on it, my mom co-signed for me. We put 500 dollars down plus my trade in. As i was pulling off the lot i noticed that my reverse lights did not work and there was a little smoke coming from the engine.

We let them know what i had noticed and they set an appointment for me to bring it back in to get fixed. Well the following week i did that and was told that it was going to take some time to look at and that i would have to bring it back. Well again i did that several more times but was always given the run around. Over the past several weeks my car kept over heating. The ratiator fans were not working to cool the engine down. I called them back and explained to them what was happening. The only thing the ever told me was to keep water in it. Two payments later my engine blew, and now im stuck paying on a car i cant drive unless i get the engine replaced.

I contacted Autowarehouse the same day and they asked me if i could get my car towed over to them and they would help me out and give me another car. I did that but when i got there they asked me to put another 2000 dollars down on another vehicle and my payments would have been 100 dollars more. I couldnt put anymore money down so they then would not help me.

Autowarehouse sold me a lemon for a car and they knew they did and thought they could get away with it because im a female. I found the car report on car faxs and the car had been messed up when they bought it. They knew the motor was gonna have to be eventuslly replaced so they didnt bother fixing it before they sold it because it would have cost them too much. Not to mention the blue book value on that vehicle was only 3000 dollars in perfect condition. When they sold it to me for almost 6000.

Something needs to be done about this because im stuck making a payment on a car thats not worth it. I highly dont recommend anyone to buy or lease a car from these people.
