Americredit "found" more due to them AFTER I paid off the accoount and THEY sent me the title and contract marked "paid"

Cars & Transport

I paid off my Americredit account, 12 months after the original contract date. They kept adding and adding to the contract. I do admit putting a couple payments to the end of the contract but not enough to prolong it by a full year. We did get to the point of payoff. They kept coming up with different amounts each person I talked to. Then finally I paid the remaining on the contract, so I thought. They did send me the contract marked "paid" and along with that the title on the vehicle. Fine and dandy until about a month later when they started harrasing calls again claiming I still owed $517. This is when I blew up. And the woman on the other end told me they where going to refile the lein on the title and hung up. I have not heard from them in 6 months. Last month I found out I do have a negative charge off on my credit. All they show on the report is the $517, they did not report the full contract of the $17000 I originally had the contract for. Just the $517. So now on my credit it looks like the only balance I had with them was the $517.
