Signature Waiver Request Refused Unless a Fax Letter Is Sent

I thought FedEx was a reputable company, but not any more. I recently shipped a package with a signature requirement, as it was important mail. Unfortunately, there was nobody at the recipient's address, so I called FedEx to have it delivered without a signature. The representative told me she would do the needful and that it was all taken care of.

The next day, to my surprise, the tracking showed that the package still needed a signature. I called again, and now they wanted a fax letter to be sent. I do not have a fax at home, so how am I supposed to send one? It does not matter to them. The reply I got from the supervisor was that they do not care if you are not able to fax.

It is unbelievable. They do not realize that I am paying so much so that the package reaches on time. I should have just gone with USPS; they are much more reliable.
