Service, scam, ripoff

I had my '01 Cobra mustang in their service center as I was having a little engine rattle. I was called by someone at the service center saying they couldn't do anything about it that it was an internal problem and the entire motor would have to be replaced. They told me it would be 9300$, I told them no... I got a call back offering me 500$ off the motor and costing me 8800, i again told them no and that I would pick up my car. I picked up my car after being forced to pay their diag fee for them to release my keys.

I spoke with a few people while picking up my car and they were 100% sure it was the motor and it couldn't be fixed. I brought my car to someone else instead and and he knew what the problem was and fixed it. The problem that couldn't be fixed by this shop? A hydraulic adjuster had gone bad and was making the rattle in the car. I had the guy fix it and he replaced all my adjusters since he already had the area open. The part was only around 300$. I also had a screwdriver hole show up in my power steering hose after coming here, which they do not deny happening. Its a good thing I have a gas cap lock as I know they would have placed something in the tank I would avoid this place like the plague, they were either trying to pull one over or they were trying to scam me into selling my car, which both didn't work. Visit this place at your own risk

I am only out 112$ from dealing with this shop, however I am working on getting their diagnostic fee back from the credit card company.
