Ed Lucas & Roger NO customer service and best "liar" ever, rip-off artist superb!

We ordered a new transmission from Roger and Ed August 10 for our 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan. Ed said it would be sent (to California) in 10 to 15 days. The cost of the transmission plus shipping for a total of $1331.77 was charged to our credit card the day of order!

We called after Labor Day in September because we had not received anything. We were told they had closed for the holiday but it would go out shortly.

Between September 10th and October 3rd the excuses ranged from "hurt my back & not in shop to see what is happening", "storm and power was out", and "out of State but it has gone out".

Finally shipped Oct. 3rd and received a week later DAMAGED! It was returned to Transpower by UPS with a report of poor wrapping and no insurance coverage.
Ed said a new one would be mailed out "by Friday, latest Monday" (that was on Wednesday), a week after Columbus Day.

Finally in November, after more delays and excuses and finding out a UPS tracking number was given at Ed's request but that the transmission had NOT been picked up by UPS, and 5 days later it still still had not been picked up, my husband told him to forget it!

It was 3 months of delays while our van was apart in a mechanic's garage. We were without transportation, our credit card was being charged interest, we were charged storage for the van and we had been conned by the slickest talker we've ever heard!

Thankfully, we were reimbursed on our card because we disputed the charge, but that did not take away the inconvenience and cost to us. Meanwhile, we had to have the transmission rebuilt, which 2 months later has been giving us problems and today another torque converter is being installed.

We wanted a new transmission but that is not happening. Ed Lucas & his Transpower Factory needs to be put out of business! Beware of on-line business!
