Ripoff, dishonest, incompetent, rude, fraudulent billing

On July 25, I ordered a used transmission from Mid City Auto Salvage in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This company is supposed to be known for being one of the largest salvage yards in the United States so I wasn't weary of ordering from them. I paid with a check by phone which was cashed immediately by them.

The problems began the very next day. I was told that a conformation email would be sent out that day regarding the shipping information. No such conformation was received. After two days I called back and asked why I had not received a conformation. I was told that I never confirmed my shipping information. I argued for a few minutes and all conflicts were supposed to be settled.

Ten days later I called to find out why I had not received my transmission. I was told that it was being tested and would be sent out in two days. This is the middle of August now! Towards the end of August I called once again to inquire about my transmission that I still had not received and was told it looks like we lost your invoice, we'll call you back. That went on for two days when the tracking department after another call, said It's apparently lost in Illinois. I stated that I wanted a phone number and tracking number for the shipping company and I would call them myself, I was told, we'll call you back with that information I was once again never called back!

On September 1 I finally called and got a tracking number and phone number to the shipper. When I called the Shipper to complain, I was told, wait a second, don't get mad at us, we just picked it up from Mid City Auto Salvage Yesterday and we will be delivering it on September 6. Mid City had been lying to me for over a month about even shipping my transmission that had already been paid for!

After finally receiving my transmission on the 6th of September, I was installing it in my girlfriend's car on the weekend of September 10th. I rented a garage and what a surprise it was to find out that after I had the car completely torn apart and the old transmission out, Mid City had sent the wrong transmission and torque converter!

I have been calling every day since trying to get someone to fix this problem and they won't even return my phone calls! My girlfriend has no car and I'm paying for a torn apart car to sit in a garage.
