Took my daughters car and ruined my husband credit

My husband cosigned with my daughter for a new car three years ago. She was doing real good on her payments till she got married and then her husband got real bad sick and was put in the hosptial for nearly two months. So she did some skip payment. This was in jan of 07. They kept adding intrest on. The next thing we know they come to my husband work to get the car. He was confused. No calls from 5/3 to tell him she was behind or that they needed there money. They just showed up on his job and he was just the cosigner. So he took them to her house to get the car. We went and pulled all the money we had and got help from others to bail her out. We go and pay cash like they said to do. So ok they said she would get her car back on tues jan 22.

Now there saying its going to be the 25 before she gets. So therefore she is going to have to pay about 700.00 in storage fee if we paid up front. Why didnt they let her have her car back. Also we got her a month ahead to but out of all this. This is what i dont understand. Why didnt they call my husband instead of showing up on his job. They are so rude. Ps we still dont have her car back
