They are trying to take my car and won't take my payments Charleston phoenix

I financed a car through wells fargo in 03 i never had a problem out of them even when i got behind when i lost my job in 05. Last month i went to my po box there was checks from them in the amount of my car payments i called them they said my account had been charged off in july and i would have to give my car back. Well i refused and told the rep from wells fargo i would like to know how they could do this i also told her i have proof when i could not make my payment thet thay never came after my car and i got couight up and they never charged off my account then. She started getting pissy and said if i did not turn over the car that It would be bad on me. I said if they wanted the car they would have to take me to court. I also reported the the the AG office. They have asked for more time to answer back. I also started making my payments and letting them send them back to me. I would love to sue but would really like to have someone with the same problem going in with me i have found on line about 20 cases that are similar to mine.
