Reasons not to get your car worked on at a dealership! Mc Kees Rocks, PA 15136

We took are car to a dealership that could replace a part that was covered by the warranty after taking it to two other mechanics (one of which was also a dealership) that passed the inspection but failed if for emissions since the engine light was one, which is why we were taking it to Mick's Dodge. The service manager knew I needed the car inspected and I knew that it needed to be driven some before it would be ready for the emissions after the part was replaced, and when he called he said the car was ready to be inspected so that implied that they had done what was necessary for inspection. Well the car was not ready and they inspected (for emissions and inspection) and it failed both. We know why it failed emissions but all of the sudden this dealership found problems that two previous mechanics missed??? I asked them why they inspected it without readying the vehicle for emissions they said thats not our responsibility and I said they should not have inspected it then. I refused to pay but they would not give the car up without me paying. So I paid the inspection fee. When I was there to speak with him, I was not threatening I said I would write to the Better Business Bureau and then the Service Manager threatened to call the cops on me. If saying I will go to the BBB is a threat than what am I supposed to say as an unhappy customer. I never got angry or nasty and he did, yelling in my face with other customers around. I have never had a company try to take advantage of me like this and I will not stand for it. The fact remains that the car passed inspection at two other places so who is lying here. On top of all this I researched two of the problems they sighted in the PA inspection hand book and there is nothing saying that the problems sighted are grounds for rejection. They had the nerve to send me a check for half of the money back even though they admitted they were wrong. Where is the rest of my money?
