State Inspection

I dropped my hasband's car off for Inspection & Emissions. I later received a call stating that we would have to pay a minimum of $650 to pass inspection. Due to the timeing of things, we could not afford this at the time. When I arrive to pick up the vehicle, I find out that the car DID pass emissions even though one of the parts needed was and exhaust part. The next day we took it for a second opinion. Mechanic #2 said the exhaust part (EGR tube?) is NOT part of inspection. The part did need repaired but not to pass inspection. The strut that Monro said was completely blown only had a small leak. It passed inpsection w/o a problem!!! And Monro wanted $650 to pass my vehicle. They are such a rip off. This is not my first bad experience with them but it will most certainly be the last
