Poor quality, major damage, & lies...

F & j auto sales of coatesville, pa chester county will rip you off!!! I bought a vehicle from them, and the very next day the keyless entry remote stopped working. When i asked them if they would replace it for me, i was treated rudely and lied to. They told me that the year my car was made it only came with one remote and the fact that they had given me two remotes when i purchased the vehicle was a bonus for me. Not true!

The vehicle did come equipped with two remotes from the factory as stated in the owner's manual. I was told that the owner was not in and that i would have to speak to him concerning money issues, although they were still open for business and did not need the owner's approval to sell a $15, ooo or $20,000 vehicle, just for my $50 remote. When i returned to speak to the owner, i explained to him that the remote worked the evening that i purchased the vehicle, but the next day it stopped working. He rudely said to me " well, i guess you have to go to the dealer and buy one!"

He just gave me a series of excuses on why he wasn't going to pay for the remote. He also advised me that he purchased this car from another dealer although when i purchased the car from the sales manager he had a detailed story of how this vehicle was traded in at his dealership just recently. I realized that it would be better for me to handle this on my own and i told him when he decides to pay the entire cost he can give me a call. Being that i have excellent credit, i have money to spend, i did not trade in a vehicle, i live in the area, and i buy vehicles often, i would not waste anymore of my time with this dealership.

I will purchase my next vehicle from a reputable dealership and let others know how they operate. After speaking to others, i found that i am not the only one who has had trouble with this company. Others have had major mechanical problems as well as vehicles that have been in major collisions and f & j refuses to take responsibility for any of these problems. As you can see whether the problem is minor or major, f & j will leave you to deal with it. Their attitude is 'it's yours now'. Well, don't let them get away with it.
