Crossroad Auto Sales of Waterloo, IA
Scam Alert

Cars & Transport

I purchased a 2000 Ford Winstar from Crossroad Auot Sales. The vehicle started to make unusual noises, hesitating when I try to accelarate, and jerking when I put it in reverse. This all started the next day after purchase and when I called to car dealer I was told that the mechanic/dealer owner would not be able to check the vehicle until the following week. I was informed to take the vehicle to their repair shop. The auto dealer's owner/mechanic informed me that the transmission was going out and that because I signed their 30 day warranty, I would have to pay for half the repair. The dealer sold me a vehicle that they knew was damaged just so I will have to bring it back to have their mechanic/dealer owner to fix it! The scam is especially malicious because their vehicles seem to be marketed towards individuals with bad credit and low-come. That is how they manipulate a buyer because they offer very low down payments and financing.
