Extends charges without notice!

I travel... A lot. I purchased six months of liability insurance for my vehicle which should have ended in November. At that time my employer sent me overseas to France for several months. So with the car parked on private property, and me being overseas, why in the hell should I pay several hundred dollars for insurance that I would not use? Car's not being driven and I'm more than 10,000 miles away in Paris France.

Then Geico sends me a letter whilst I'm in France that I owe them for their extended coverage which I neither applied for, nor approved of. They stated in their letter that they would continue my coverage unless I supplied them with information on my new policy with whatever company... Like that's any of their business who I do business with? Fact, I paid for six months of coverage, that's all I needed. Nothing more, nothing less. I paid in full, but somehow they feel that they can continue that which I did not desire without my approval.

When I signed up for Geico, I asked if I would be automatically resigned up without my approval, and was assured that I would not. I asked this because of a bad experience with E-Insurance.com and their practices. They continue to sign you up and if you cancel they charge you like cell phone companies $200.00 for cancellation.

So here I sit with a collection notice for the one month extension that I neither approved of or was notified of for $41.65. I also received "please come back!" letters from Geico... As if. Like I'm going to pay your collection agency and come back to you when I can get car insurance cheaper elsewhere? And where the h*ll do they get off demanding confirmation of a new policy from whomever I deal business with? That's none of their damned business.
