Billed me after cancellation ripoff Wisconsin, grand Forks North dakota

I called dairyland several times and got a recorded message that said i had to go through the original agency to make any changes, which was plaza ins agent in G.F. Nd. The next three weeks i called and left several msg.

Finally got a call back about a week later and told the person who called that i wanted to cancel dairyland and go to progressive, who was less money. The intern told me i would receive a call back from a real agent about pricing and ppwk. I never recieved a call back and eventually i gave up trying to contact them and had to assume the policy was cancelled.

So i started my own policy w progressive. Now 13jul07 i get a collection notice for 60.00 saying i owe, well the policy term had already been paid so as far as i am concerned i owe nothing.

Also i went through this cancellation thing with them 1 month earlier where they said the policy was cancelled and i recieved the letter 2 weeks after the cancel date. (i found out when i called to make an addition) So without any proper notification from them on something as important as car insurance they let me drive around for those 2 weeks without ins. Almost cost me a no insurance ticket.
