Auto insurance, scam, rip-off

I reinstated my drivers license in April. I was required to aquire an SR-22 insurance policy. I went with Dairyland Insurance out of Stevens Point, WI.
I paid the first 6 months up front and then went month to month, going to the office in person each month to make a payment.

On Feb. 2, I received a letter from State of Wisconsin stating that my drivers license has been suspended due to non-coverage. This letter states that I had not paid my premium from October through January and therefore would have to reinstate again. I had paid EVERY month in person. I was NEVER told by the insurance company that my license was not valid. The first I heard of this was the letter received from the state on Feb. 2.

I have been speaking to people at Dairyland about this and they refuse to do anything about it or to take any responsibility. The only reason my license would be suspended, according to the state, was if I had NOT PAID MY PREMIUM!!!

Pretty fishy that they were accepting my payments each month if I really was "cancelled"?!?!?! Where the hell was my money going for those months if not to pay for my insurance??? Of course no one at the insurance company has an answer to that. The state claims that they notify the insurance company when someone's license is suspended or revoked. So, if that's the case, is someone there pocketing the money then? WHAT A SCAM!!!

In doing some research, I have seen other people making the same complaints! Beware... Do not use this company! Make sure if you are going through a broker that THEY do not use this company! You will get ripped off!!!
