Total Rip Off dishonest when replacing bad parts

I purchased brake pads from Advance Auto.in two days they fell apart. I brought them back and thought I met up with honesty. They gave me replacement pads and a new cylinder which shelled out due to the problem.
To my surprise (not) they fell apart again. I took them back another time which I was told that they had none on hand (I wonder why). I asked for my money back and heres the kicker. I purchased the $39.95 set but they would only give me $14.95 back so I could purchase it from another part store. On top of everything I live in a rural area and have to drive an hour to get there. They told me that on their computer it showed I only purchased the cheaper set. I wonder who took the other history off considering it was there the first time I had to take them back.
I have to be at work at &am in the morning in which the only alternative I have is for my husband to wake up at 3:30 am a hour early, take me there where I will have to wait until 7am, because he has to be in the opposite direction for his job by 6:30 am. This is our second day doing this and I have had enough. There is a $25 difference from what I paid plus an 84 mile round trip two times, 40 miles round trip to my job and back twice counting this morning. That adds up to 164 miles at $3 a gallon, adding another $24 to the pain because we have to use his truck.
Will I go back? I am not blonde! I hate when people take advantage of me because I am female! I work on my car as much as any man does.
