I leased a new bmw in Sept of 1998. I brought my car in for the first 2 of three free oil services. During the second servicing, i requested them to check the tires and the windshield wipers. They claimed that everything had been checked and was satisfactory. I pointed out that all four tires had unusual cracking all throughout the treadwell. Also there was more than 9/32 left in each tire and only 15,000 miles on these new tires. They said that any problems with the tires, I have to contact the manufacturer myself. They were not responsible for the tires, nor would they help me.

I scheduled my 3rd and final free servicing shortly before my lease was up. I scheduled with them and purposely asked if my 3rd oil change would be included. They scheduled the appointment and said that it would indeed be free. When i showed up for the appointment, I asked again, just to be sure, if the 3rd servicing would be free. They corrected me and said that it would be $80 or so. I exclaimed that this is my third oil change and should be free as i was told. They told me that i was over the 3 year period, by one month. Supposedly the in service date of my car was JULY of 1998 even though I didn't drive the car of lot until sept 1998. Hence, my servicing was free only if I had the servicing done by July of not any later. And of course none of this pertinent information could have been given to me at the time of my scheduling of my 3rd appointment. OF COURSE NOT!!!

So i told them that I would change my own oil. The windshield wipers left a scratch across the windshield, even though they were checked and supposedly satisfactory. The tires I took to a local retail tire center. They helped me with the manufacturers and I received $400 refund for faulty tires, that shouldn't be cracking with so few miles, and so much tread left.

All in all, Prestige BMW is the worst dealership that i have ever been to, and plan never to return, and to pass on the worst experience that i have ever had with a company that bases so much emphasis on customer satisfaction!
