Mike Adams
Accepted money for body repairs on my truck and did not finish the job. Ripoff

Cars & Transport

Mike Adams, Hispanic, approximately 45 years old, 5'9", 175 lbs. Mr. Adams was driving through our neighborhood looking for autos that needed body repair work. He approached me and we made a deal to fix the tail light and some minor body work along with providing two door handles to my truck. Adams said he had the parts and would bring them back the next day.

When he didn't show the next day I called his phone number and he answered. He said his brother had his car and he couldn't get there that day. He said he would be there the next day.

He came the next day and we had also made a deal to trade tail light lenses. I had a newer model lens and he agreed to trade me for it.

He tried to give me the lens back saying he couldn't find a lens to fit my truck. He said he knew of a place that had the lens but it would cost $50.00 plus. He wanted me to pay for it. I told him we had a deal. We agreed to swap lenses and he said he had the lens to fit my truck. This was a lie. He BS'ed me by saying he had the lens in order to get the job. I told him to pay for the lens and finish the job as agreed upon initially. He said he didn't want any unhappy customers so he would finish the job.

It has been two weeks now and he hasn't called or contacted me in any way. I filed a criminal complaint against him with the State Contractors Board citing his deceptive practices. I am waiting to hear fro the investigators at this present time.
